The lights we sell are either economical and effective like the Planet Bike and Portland Design Works options OR they are out-of-this-world bright and have cool features like the rechargeable Light & Motion or dynamo hub-generated Supernova models.

Our pick! Why? Not only are these very bright and effective lights but they are also rechargable so the extra you spend on the initial purchase reduces waste. And the planet likes that.

The Stella is one sweet rechargable LED headlight. This bright, 120 lumen light mounts on handlebars or helmets. Its three settings offer run times ranging from 2.5-10 hours. The lightweight NiMH battery is compact, easily straps to the bike, or fits in a jersey pocket. $135.00

E3 Tail Lights   A high-powered LED tailight that works in conjunction with your Supernova head light and dynamo.  The light comes from three high powered LED bulbs that are wired directly in to the headlight.  This allows the 5 minute capacitor of the headlight to power the tail light for even extra safety.   Not being satisfied with the mounting options of the E3 tail light, Splendid Cycles has built out own mount (pictured) that works on most bikes.

Planet Bike

The Beamer5 and SuperFlash from Planet Bike are our best-for-the-money recommendations for those on a budget yet still wanting bright, reliable front and rear lighting. The$30.00  Beamer5 headlight offers 5 LED bulbs and flashing or steady modes.The $27.00 Superflash taillight is visible up to a mile away. Both boast up to 100 hours on 2 AA batteries. Batteries and mounting hardward included.

Portland Design Works

If you ride in Portland, and ride year-round, fenders are a must. AND what a handy mounting surface they make  for this keen taillight, the Fenderbot. This bright LED light is embellished with a reflector and mounts directly to your fender. A great way to enhance your visibility. $28.00
